Santo Domingo. El Treintavo Concierto de Viernes Santo en la Basílica Catedral Metropolitana de Santo Domingo ha vuelto a llenar las naves del templo de centenares de fieles católicos, ejecutivos y personalidades de la cultura.
El tradicional espectáculo músico-coral, auspiciado por el Banco de Reservas, fue encabezado por el Arzobispo de Santo Domingo, Monseñor Francisco Ozoria Acosta.
Los directores auxiliares del Coro son Andrés Capellán, Fernando Herrera, Héctor Martínez Cabruja y Rafael Calderón.
La pieza principal a ser interpretada es el Oratorio a La muerte de Jesús, original del maestro José de Jesús Ravelo, estrenado en esta misma Catedral Primada el Viernes Santo de 1930 (7de Abril) y que es la única pieza sacra escrita por un dominicano a la muerte de Jesús.
La pieza se ha interpretado en el país 36 veces, 26 de las cuales han sido en esta Catedral en este conmemorativo Día Santo. (José Rafael Sosa).
