MIAMI. AP. La próxima entrega anual de los Latin Grammy será el jueves 16 de noviembre en Las Vegas.
La ceremonia de tres horas, en su 18va edición, se transmitirá en vivo nuevamente por Univision desde el MGM Grand Garden, anunciaron la cadena televisiva y la Academia Latina de la Grabación en un comunicado conjunto el martes. La gala está prevista de 8 a 11 pm, hora del este.
Como en el pasado, la academia entregará el día antes sus premios especiales (a la Excelencia Musical y del Consejo Directivo) y rendirá homenaje a la Persona del Año en la víspera. Los nominados se darán a conocer el 20 de septiembre.
«Este año esperamos llevar a nuestra audiencia una noche aún más esplendorosa donde celebraremos el trabajo arduo, la perseverancia y los logros de los integrantes de nuestro mundo artístico», afirmó Gabriel Abaroa Jr., presidente y director ejecutivo de la Academia Latina de la Grabación.
«También nos complace continuar con el formidable proceso de colaboración con Univision y esperamos trabajar con ellos para crear la más inolvidable experiencia para nuestros espectadores».
A nivel internacional, la transmisión distribuida por Haber Entertainment ha llegado a más de 80 millones de espectadores al año a través de TV abierta, o por cable bajo una asociación exclusiva con TNT Latin America.
