Santo Domingo. Charles Aznavour, músico y cantante fundamental del siglo XX, falleció hoy a los 94 años de edad, informan medios locales franceses.
Hasta el momento no se ofrecen más detalles sobre las circunstancias ni lugar de su muerte.
En junio pasado el cantante y actor se vio obligado a suspender su gira de conciertos correspondiente a este año hasta finales de agosto por al sufrir una rotura del húmero en dos partes.
Uno de los titanes de la música francesa sumó en su larguísima trayectoria en la que vendió más de 200 millones de discos.
Shahnourh Varinag Aznavourián Baghdassarian (Charles Aznavour), de padres armenios, nació en París, Francia, el 22 de mayo de 1924.
Debutó en la canción junto a su hermana Aída, al mismo tiempo que en el teatro en 1933, donde interpretó desde los 11 años diferentes papeles infantiles.
