Santo Domingo Este. La imagen de la salsera Ruth La Cantante es usada por el Ayuntamiento de este municipio como parte de la campaña que realiza esa institución en contra de la violencia de género que azota al país.
La salsera se unió a la lucha que tiene como objetivo llamar la atención de la población y contribuir a frenar la creciente ola de feminicidios que se registra en la nación.
La campaña consiste en vallas, spots publicitarios en toda la zona oriental, siendo Ruth la única mujer del género artístico en estar presente con el tema: “No la maltrates. Apóyala”.
“Nosotras las mujeres somos seres humanos, y por ningún motivo ningún hombre nos puede poner las manos”, aseguró en un comunicado la salsera.
