SAN JUAN DE LA MAGUANA. Una mujer que falleció en la comunidad de Arroyo Loro del kilómetro 5 de la carretera San Juan-Las Matas de Farfán fue velada durante tres días, ya que según los familiares, amigos y allegado de la fallecida, la mujer, estando en el ataúd sudaba, lloraba y abría los ojos.
La señora Antonia Montero falleció el pasado martes y aun la mañana de este jueves sus familiares la tenían en la casa, en virtud de según ellos la mujer estaba viva debido a que la fallecida abría los ojos, sudaba y lloraba.
Los comunitarios del Arrollo Loro, reaccionaron sorprendidos ante esa situación, ya que dicen es la primera vez que ven una muerta abrir los ojos, sudar y llorar.
La tarde de este jueves, los familiares de la mujer fallecida, decidieron darle cristiana sepultura, en el cementerio del sector de Córbano Sur de San Juan de la Maguana.
Se trata de un caso raro, y la señora pudo haber sido enterrada viva, si antes de sepultarla no se buscó asesoría médica para percatarse si esta había sufrido o no un ataque de catalepsia.
Durante el estado de catalepsia el cuerpo permanece paralizado, lo que se pone en evidencia con la movilización pasiva de los segmentos de los miembros. La catalepsia se observa en pacientes con cuadros graves y agudos de histeria, esquizofrenia y diversas psicosis.
La gravedad radica en que la persona puede ser sepultada estando aún con vida y despertar en cualquier momento. Normalmente puede llegar a durar tres días, en los cuales la persona en estado de muerte aparente podría ser enterrada y despertar ya dentro del ataúd.
