SANTO DOMINGO. Un fuego destruyó este lunes un edificio de cuatro niveles construido de blocks y zinc, en la calle Francisco Henríquez y Carvajal esquina 27 de Febrero, del sector San Carlos, en el Distrito Nacional.
La vivienda era propiedad de Claudino Pérez Aybar, quien atribuyó el siniestro a una pareja de nombres, Heriberto y Yuly, luego de que se enfrascaran en una discusión, y donde vecinos dijeron que la mujer debió ser llevada a un centro clínico porque resultó con quemaduras en el pecho y el abdomen, lo que no se pudo confirmar.
El coronel Rafael del Rosario, jefe de los bomberos, dijo que para sofocar el siniestro, que inició a las 8:50 a.m., y fue controlado a las 9:30 a.m., fue necesario utilizar seis unidades, y dijo que trabajan para determinar la causa del fuego.
Explicó jefe del Cuerpo de Bomberos de la capital que el incendio se extendió porque en el edificio había muchos desperdicios y estaba techado mayormente de zinc.
Según los vecinos, cuando la pareja incendió el lugar, ambos salieron huyendo, y una joven que cruzaba por el lugar alertó “fuego, se está quemando esa casa”.
En el primer nivel del edificio reside el propietario y su esposa, en el segundo residían dos parejas de haitianos, en el tercero Heriberto y July, y en el cuarto, el dueño dijo que lo tenía de almacén para “guardar de todo menos cosas malas”. (elnacional.com.do).
